The Kankaemetsurihen

Termed the "Kankaemetsurihen" by the remaining Myrsilk, the cataclysm that apparently claimed the lives of thousands, perhaps millions of Myrsilkains is the result of a frightening unknown. Many theories and hypotheses have been presented as to what occured, but there is no distinct, solid proof anywhere in the universe that any have been able to discover. Gathered here is a brief overview of several leading theories.

The word Kankaemetsurihen was created specifically to describe the cataclysm that ocurred, being derived from several different words:
"Kankaerit" means "catastrophe" or "cataclysm"
"Metsurai" means "loss of life" with the implication of "few to no survivors"
"Ihen" isn't a word, but instead a suffix that adds the meanings of "fury" and "sorrow" to the word itself.

Thus, Kankaemetsurihen can be translated to "The great catastrophe from which few have escaped" with overtones of both sorrow and fury at the unknown fate of the rest of their species. Other words have been created as well to describe the different theories that have been presented. The most important ones are: Askrulnari or "Creeping Death", Verkait or "Fading Death", and Kaivurain or "Void Death."
