Rieno

Rieno's a self-confident, self-assured punk, the biggest, baddest beast on the block, so to speak. In doesn't bother him a wit that most creatures he comes in contact with are physically larger than him, all that matters is that he can smack them down if he needs to. He has a cocky swagger to his step and a way of smiling just so that can drive people insane with annoyance at the Terigon. In his opinion, he's Aki's "Greatest Gift to the Universe", and it shows in his slick way of dressing and his equally slick mannerisms.

Of course, Rieno knows that he needs bite to back up his bark, and throws himself heart and soul into his training to keep up his "perfect physique" that Aki gifted him with. He loves learning, especially hands on learning, and has a talent for turning his hand to nearly anything that comes his way, giving him a wide variety of skills and abilities to pull upon during one of his missions. It's not uncommon for Rieno to butt into conversations with a pointed, snide, and completely accurate remark, especially if doing so would rile others. While not malicious, Rieno does have a sadistic side that he occasionally indulges.

Rieno can be very cavalier with his friendships, keeping only a rare few close to his heart. One of those is Reno, his 'great scaly bro' (and boy doesn't that nickname bug Reno!), and Rieno wouldn't hesitate a second to go to his bro's rescue if he felt the other needed it. The two have fallen into a comfortable pattern where Reno plays the ne'er-do-well and Rieno the swaggering slickman.

Rieno's about average for human-height, with soft peach-tan skin, jewel-toned blue-green eyes, bright crimsom fur, a short furry tail, and feathered wings. His head-fur is more like hair than fur - it grows long in the back, and he always has a few locks falling over his face. He keeps the long fur-hair tied back into a ponytail that ends between his shoulder blades. Unlike Reno, Rieno never decided to pierce his ears, as he was aiming for a slicker, slightly more professional look than Reno portrays. His feathered wings are powerful enough to give him limited powers of flight, but, truth to tell, Rieno prefers to walk or take other methods of transportation than rely on his own feathers to get him there. Rieno is predominantly left handed, though he can fight with either hand.

Rieno's preferred dress is much more stylish than Reno's is, and consists of a white button down shirt, a black jacket, and black slacks. And while he keeps his white shirt untucked and his jacket unzipped, he distinctly looks more professional than his heart-brother does, and people react to that accordingly. His one concession to 'rogue-ish-ness' is his pair of goggles that he keeps pushed up on his head. Rieno's also never seen without his electro-rod that Aki gave him, whether it be folded and sheathed at his side or unfolded and in either hand, he refuses to be parted from it.

Of course, no matter how immaculate Rieno attempts to keep his clothing, the fact remains that he's been adopted by practically every Hunter Cat, no few feline whorlings (especially the smaller ones), several of the 'stranger sort' that inhabit the Clan proper, and two very insistant winged cats. At times, his clothes look like a rainbow, with the amount of varicolored fur oh-so-helpfully shed all over them! Metallic Silver Tserit, especially, is rarely away from Rieno, and often found pacing along at the Terigon's side, or draped over his shoulders like a living scarf, shedding silver fur everywhere and generally making Rieno's clothes look more gray than black.

One of Aki's early forays into creating her 'little darlings', Rieno was created, taught, and trained by the chaos godling. He takes a twisted sort of pride in the fact this his fur is nearly the same shade as Aki's, and that his scruffy hair-fur is similar to the goddess that created him. After all, not every being in the universe can say that they're the direct result of a god or goddess saying "let there be life"!

He wasn't all that happy about being tossed out into the universe with barely a fare-thee-well from Aki, but he long ago came to terms with the randomness of his creator's actions (what else should one expect out of a cat-formed being after all?). In fact, he acknowledges that it's not a sign that she grew tired of him, but rather a sign that she expects much from him, and wishes for him to grow up the rest of the way on his own, to learn and develop as he will.

Of course, Rieno fully believes that Aki knew that Reno would be at Akelara at just that moment, free of duties and looking to spend some time in relaxation. He didn't like the big lug much at first - Reno is far too much like Rieno for the two to immediately hit it off - but time and a few beat-downs on both sides had the pair forming a comfortable working relationship that eventually grew into brotherhood.

Male Mackeral Silver-blue Acantha: Just like his name, Acantha has a thorny, stand-offish personality. His idea of play involves pouncing poor unsuspecting Rieno then play-fighting with the Terigon until he grows bored. Acantha will never lower himself to the point of sitting in anyone's lap, but he will occasionally demand pet... and use his claws if he doesn't get what he wants! Still, he bows to Etenia's will in most things, but he'll never go near water except to drink it.

Female White and Red Etenia: Etenia is a sweetheart, constantly cuddling up to Rieno or anyone else who happens to be in the Terigon's room, always with a sweet little mew to draw attention to her... and always 'disciplining' Acantha whenever she thinks he's gone too far. For as thorny and prideful as Acantha is, it's Etenia who rules the roost, and both of them know it. Etenia's a strange little kitty, in that she absolutely insists on taking showers or baths alongside Rieno, and never mind a cat's traditional dislike of water. She loves it!
