Selas Deyacrin

Selas is a very down to earth, stable sort of woman, perfectly capable of taking anything life dishes out to her and returning it right back at it. She often acts as the anchor to Raiyan and Asari, keeping the two of them grounded in the here and now when they'd have a tendency to go haring off on a random path all their own with no planning or thought. She's a very curious soul, and can often be found reading a book in a variety of languages (she knows over six languages already, and is completely fluent in four of those six).

Her curse is a dangerous one, though it's more dangerous to her than otherwise, usually. She freezes solid, unable to make up her mind or chose an action unless and until she's completely gone over every possibility that exists. Like Luna, though, Selas believes that she can harness this curse to her will if she's careful about it, as it often improves her logical reasoning capacity up to a point. It's a fine line she's learned to walk from an early age, figuring she needs every edge she can get in this world.

She hardly ever notices the fact that she's partially albinistic. In fact, it's that lack of distinct albinism that makes most people assume right off the bat that she's just an Original Lost, not a Pure Lost like she really is. That, too, doesn't bother her -- she'd rather they underestimate her abilities than otherwise.

She has no real opinion on the Fallen and the Lost. She knows the Celestial Covenant only because Raiyan is obsessed with it, and she grew curious. In her mind, people should do as they feel fit.

Selas is shorter than most Lost she's met, at not much over five feet in height. Her form is well built, giving the impression of power (though she's actually more of a speed basis than strength, interestingly enough). Her pale blue eyes are often disturbing in that she rarely seems to blink or shift them when she's concentrating hard on something, such as a person or a book. She keeps her relatively long hair tied back in a pony tail, though she sometimes will braid it and weave ribbons into it when she's showing off her heritage. Her Blood Rose bloom is rather small, covering about half of her upper right arm.

She has no official colors, because she's not a Fallen, and can never become one. Normally, she'll wear nearly anything, though she hates dresses and skirts. When she's feeling like showing off her heritage, she'll wear flashy, gaudy outfits with so many loud, bright colors tossed together that it hurts to look at her.

Daughter of two Original Lost, Selas is officially a Pure Lost, though a first generation Pure Lost, and so not as powerful as she could be.

Her parents, Ansyl and Jewel Deyacrin, are wanderers at heart, and so move from place to place every few years. Knowing that such instability is unconducive of learning or creating friends, they both agreed to let their daughter stay with Raiyan when she asked them to let her. A few weeks later, Hali and Gale were officially listed as Selas' guardians, and Ansyl and Jewel took off for new horizons.

Ever since, though Selas has kept in touch with her parents, she's remained at Raiyan's side through thick and thin. Her loyalty is to him, beyond even that she has to her parents.
