Yikaeri rose and stretched slowly, tail flicking from side to side as she did so. She was alone in their shared den, as Revent was off assuring himself that the guards were in their proper places. The entire clan wasn't quite unified yet, having only recent been born out of the hodgepodge of Myrsilkains that the two of them could find scattered throughout the universe.
Her eyes narrowed faintly, wings folding loosely against her back as she walked on silent feet towards the ledge that was attached to their den. It was a mystery as to why most of the clans had just... vanished. Completely and utterly vanished, with only a few scattered survivors to tell the tale.
Whatever had happened to the Myrsilkains themselves, any eggs they left on the sands were untouched... until other intelligent races found them and discovered their properties.
The entire count of lost eggs was unknown, and many of the dragons were still mourning the lost. As a result... they weren't truly committing themselves to the running of the clan, now that everything was built and completed.
Yikaeri's head tilted upwards, her neck arching gracefully as she gazed at the fading light in the sky... and in that instant, a smirk crossed her features.
With a powerful leap and an equally powerful down sweep of her wings, she was airborne, drawing on her Wind affinity to aid her in her flight. Even the Towers diminished swiftly from her view, yet still she climbed.
And sent a taunting thought to her mate and partner, laced with smug satisfaction, Catch me if you can... or if you dare!
Revent's head jerked up as he received her sending, silvered gold eyes narrowing as he flared his wings and leapt up, leaving a startled Shadow Myrsilk behind him to wonder what was going on.
His powerful wings drew him into the sky, eyes focused upon the twisting, twining form of his mate as she almost lazily glided through the air. With a flick of his wings, he banked to one side and rose upwards, swiftly vanishing into the clouds and rising above them.
Yikaeri lazily twisted herself into a loop, almost as if she was chasing her tail. A wind spirit flew alongside her body, invisible to all, but able to see what was going on anywhere about her.
He flies above you.
She smirked, breaking free from her loop and continuing her sedate glide over the complex, confident in her ability to evade him no matter what. Are you scared, Revent? Or have you grown too fat and lazy as the Sorcerer of this Clan!
Lazy I never was... and fat I never will be. Unlike you. He dove as he spoke, wings held tight to his body.
Swiftly, she banked, rolling away to one side, and watched as he shot past her, Hah! You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn!
Wings snapped open, as he angled his body and shot back up, the entire move making her start in surprise as his body twined about hers in a loving embrace, You, my mate, have been spending too much time around Kerkael's bond.
And you've been taking lessons from Kerkael. That was his move.
Revent's mindvoice grew faintly smug, Well, it's mine now.
Together, they slowly spiraled down towards the ground once more, ignoring the eyes of watchers that rested upon them.
