Nia is fiercely protective of Cetirnen, above and beyond Sycho and Solath combined. There is never a time when Cetirnen can be found without Nia hovering over his shoulder (and boy is it a good thing the castle has ten foot tall ceilings and a surfeit of large rooms and doorways!) and watching whatever is going on. His mind is agile and quick, and, old world lineage aside, he never seems to forget anything Cetirnen has taught him.

He has taken it upon himself to learn the strategist's art, in order to better understand his bond and the world the man lives in. And while he doesn't quite understand Cetirnen's absolute distaste for war, Nia does agree with the man's overarching strategy of fewest casualties on both sides, even if that strategy does lead to such "underhanded" tactics as assassination and sabotage. In fact, Nia sees no moral quandry in the choice at all - kill one man to save hundreds or thousands, or let one man live and allow those hundreds or thousands to die?

Sycho has repeatedly ribbed Nia about being colder and more emotionless than Cetirnen at his worst, and there's much truth in Sycho's words. The fact of the matter is, Nia couldn't care less for anyone not Cetirnen, and barely spares the energy to be friendly with Sycho and Solath. He knows what they do, and appreciates their efforts, but his life and energy revolves around Cetirnen, not them.
