Unknown Time, Starfall Dragonry
He approaches the dragon with more caution than is characteristic of him. Thankfully, the dragon doesn't lash out - instead, the caretaker-dragon simply nods (and is that a smile on its face?) and allows Evoril to approach. He's shaking as he reaches out his hand (what is going on, he's never like this, it's just an egg, by the Goddess) and it's as if Evoril is afraid to touch its smooth aqua-teal surface.
The moment he dips his finger into its warm aura and makes contact with the shell, there is warmth. It starts at his fingertip and courses up his arm more quickly than any warmth he's felt before. It feels unnatural and strange and yet when the contact is made, Evoril finds that he can't take his hand away. His apple-green eyes are wide when he looks up at Ariana, unable to form a word. His mind is overtaken by the energy flowing from the egg.
Ariana smiles - she knows what has happened. "It looks like this one is yours," she says, nodding. "That's a bond you're feeling. Congratulations."
The egg hatches just days later. Evoril's temporary quarters are filled with the sound of rustling baby wings and the skittering of too-large dragon paws as the little one eagerly tries to get used to her physical body for the first time. She stares up sheepishly at Evoril from beneath a mess of the items that were once on the shelves and tables, and he realizes that fate is still enjoying making him its plaything.
Maybe now, though, things will start back uphill for him.

Unknown Time + 4, Starfall Dragonry
Evoril ran fingers through Sepha's soft fur and stared out at the forest that he had first arrived in. He still did not know where Sarril, Marith, or Castia had been thrown, but he knew for a fact that they weren't around Starfall and nor were they on Arica.
He had, however, found out that Arica and Starfall were out of sync with their times. For every year that passed on Arica, a little over two passed in Starfall. This little piece of information had come to his attention when, a year ago, he'd finally gone through a portal to check on the state of his homeworld, only to find that a bare year and a half had passed by.
"You think too much," Sepha said as she gave Evoril a light headbutt. "We'll find them eventually."
Evoril shrugged uncomfortably. He wasn't even entirely sure why he was searching for them - well, no, that was incorrect. Sarril had grown on him, the insolent whelp, but he could certainly do without meeting Castia again!
"I still say Sarril became the Lord of Day," Sepha said, resuming a long-standing argument.
Evoril shook his head. "Ocean Lord. He's a Nethias. It only makes sense for him to replace his own Lord."
Sepha smirked. "You said his father was a famous pirate. Why wouldn't he become the Ocean Lord, then?"
He opened his mouth to reply, then shut it without saying anything. Repetition had not made either of their arguments less true, and until he found Sarril they wouldn't know, as none of the other Aspects had been given Lords yet. One thing was for sure - all the other Lords would have a significant amount of work to do when they finally took their places!
