Luna Murik
"Hey, did you need something from me?"
Name: | Luna Murik |
Fallen Title: | The Ice Star |
Gender: | Female |
Race: | Fallen Human |
Eyes: | Dark Blue |
Hair: | Gold |
Age: | Around 400 |
Personality: |
If Eli is the face of the small group, and Kyran is the mysterious threat, then Luna is the heart. She keeps the two working together long after they'd have otherwise thrown their hands up in disgust and went their own separate ways. She's the go-between who helps work things out between the two... really, she's the reason Kyran has forgiven Eli, and Eli has accepted that forgiveness, though neither have outright said anything to each other. Luna is friendly, and outgoing, and generally sweet to anyone she meets, especially if they strike her fancy somehow. Luna is the only one who knows what her curse is... the only time she fell prey to it, she was far away from Eli and Kyran, and able to force herself into the sun long enough to get herself back under control. Her neurosis is a very simple one... control. She must control everything around her, up to and including the people she considers friends, even if it means manipulating one against the other in order to put her in a position of power over them. She tries her best to keep herself from falling prey to it again, though on occasion she will permit herself to sink slightly into the neurosis in order to better manage the situations that crop up in their lives. Luna is very practical when it comes down to it, and is fully of the belief that even the darkness inside them can be used to further their goals without damaging those around them or themselves. Her opinion on the Lost is that they exist. They're a fact of life. Get over it. |
Description: |
Luna is a slender woman, though not nearly as knife thin as Kyran is. Her figure is graceful and lithe, and she's often compared to a feline, especially when she shows off her flexibility and agility. She keeps her golden hair relatively long, tying it back into a pony tail with a simple hair tie. Her blue eyes are often alight with warmth, reflecting her basically friendly nature to the world at large. Luna has pale skin, though nowhere near as pale as Eli and Kyran's. Her's is tinted a light golden brown all the time, and darkens to a deep gold during the summer. Her Blood Rose bloom spreads across her left shoulder blade, onto her shoulder, side, and a bit onto her neck. Her official colors are Silver and Sky Blue, and unlike the others, she does have a tendency to wear them in her day to day life, though mostly because she doesn't really care which clothes she grabs or puts on that day. As such, her outfits can consist of everything from shorts, to skirts, to jeans, to slacks; from T-shirts, to tunics, to blouses and beyond. Anything she takes a fancy too, she'll buy and eventually wear. |
History: |
Luna was found as a baby on the front steps of the monastery, yet another baby abandoned to the mercy of strangers by his parents. She grew up with Eli, and welcomed first Fae, then Kyran, into their little group with open arms. It was in the shelter of the monastery and the Brothers and Sisters there that she grew up, protected from the world and the hate in it. She spent her early years, up until well into her twenties, in fact, sheltered there, learning many things from the Brothers and Sisters. But then Fae wanted to explore the outside world, her curiosity peaked by descriptions and stories. Unwilling to let one of their own go alone, most of the Fallen resolved to travel with her. The world outside wasn't too bad... until, that is, one of their group accidentally revealed that, yes, they were all "Fallen" -- that meant born with the Blood Rose plague, didn't it? The community turned on them almost instantly. People they'd been speaking with turned nasty, a mob forming, hunting them down. It was Fae who saw the way out... and it was Fae who bought the rest of the group the time to escape. While the others were getting away, Fae stood her ground, small though she was, and struck back with anything she could get her hands on, using her abilities to the fullest. The rest of the group escaped, but Fae was never heard from again by any of them. Without her, they decided to return, though their return was dogged by bad luck. In the end, only four made it back to the monastery - Eli, Luna, Kyran, and one other by the name of Gale. Embittered by this, the four distanced themselves from everyone but each other and the Brothers and Sisters who had raised them and grown up with them. It was during this period that the seed of the Celestial Covenant was sown, and it was with the help of the Brothers and Sisters of the monastery that they managed to gather every Fallen known to be alive. Though it took years to gather all of them and discuss everything with everyone (many of them with language barriers), it was finally done, and the Celestial Covenant was created. Ever since then, Kyran has been drifting around, Eli and Luna following his wandering path. Though they may settle in one place for a time, they rarely stay longer than a decade. Currently, they've set themselves up in Caevadrin, and have been there for nearly two centuries, an oddity in and of itself. Gale vanished not too long after they began drifting, and though rumors of his whereabouts often reach their ears, they've never managed to meet up with him for longer than a few days. Though they might deny it, Eli, Luna, Gale, and Kyran are considered the true "creators" of Fallen society because of their work in unifying them into a distinct group, despite everything working against them. This affords them an immense amount of respect and deference amongst the Fallen, despite the fact that the Celestial Covenant says that all Fallen are equal. |
