Akkanat: Algae Daemon

Akkanat is a beast of few words and fewer overt actions. Everything he does, he does in secrecy, from magic to his daily activities, and tisk on those who attempt to figure him out. Despite that, he's a proud daemon, and carries himself with a rather haughty air whenever he's in the public eye - which is never very often. One might perhaps think that, with all this, Akkanat would be oily and deceitful, but that's not the case. The daemon holds true to his own brand of honor, and will never betray anyone, friend or foe, unless he sees that a greater good would be served... but what he defines as 'greater good' is often not how others define it.

As a daemon, Akkanat has telepathy and the ability to teleport, as well as the ability to soak up magic from nearby sources, though he is most proficient at turning water and earth based magics to his own purposes. His skills at gene manipulation are limited, and he's only able to affect tiny things with any hope of success. With some slight effort, he's learned how to speak aloud, though that's a rare thing to hear from him, and it does seem that he can - when around a strong enough source of water based magic - harness said magic and change his form to something completely human in appearance. On the other hand, while he can walk away from the source of magic and retain the form, if his concentration even once wavers, he'll begin to regain some of his daemon traits - feathers, claws, scales, etc - until he's once more a six-limbed beast-style daemon.

Akkanat came to Clan Akelara as a young daemon, and instantly made himself comfortable in the high magic presence of the Myrsilkain dragons. For the most part, he is welcomed with open arms - seeing as he's not evil or even deceitful in the slightest - and given a place to rest himself. Akkanat, though, wants more to life than just lazing about occasionally nudging a few things along a certain path, and often vanishes for days or even months at a stretch. Where he goes is a secret, but many are beginning to suspect that he's going out and sponsoring young dragons... seeing as there have, lately, been an influx of dragons that are bondless and seem to know the daemon well.
